BMW · FACTORY EQUIPMENT

The BMW behind the badge.

From sport seats to lighting packages, BMW equipment codes can reveal configuration details that the model name leaves out.

Understanding BMW option codes

BMW factory equipment records often use SA codes. Codes can identify comfort, trim, multimedia and assistance features, while packages group several equipment choices. A package’s contents can differ by generation and market.

For example, an M Sport package and an M performance model are different concepts. A styling or equipment package alone does not establish engine output or mechanical specification. Confirm the complete vehicle configuration.

Verify the production context

The same plain-language feature name may refer to different hardware across model years. Production date, market and source provenance matter when translating equipment codes.

This MVP includes a fictional BMW 330i dataset to demonstrate the report. Real BMW factory data requires a connected licensed provider and verified coverage; a successful public VIN decode is not enough.
