THE SPECIFICATION BEHIND THE BADGE

Find the details that matter.

Two cars with the same badge can feel very different. Factory equipment data helps explain how each one was originally configured.

Find it on your dashboard, door frame or registration document.

Read codes as useful information

Manufacturer option codes identify production choices and equipment packages. A code may describe an individual feature, a grouped package or a market-specific configuration. Context matters: the model and production date can change what a code means.

OptionsByVIN organizes available records into safety, parking, suspension, comfort, multimedia, lighting, climate, exterior and performance categories. Explanations describe practical value without claiming that a factory option is still fitted or working today.

Evidence, rather than assumptions

Present means the source explicitly identifies the equipment. Absent is only appropriate when authoritative data explicitly confirms absence. Not verified means the available evidence cannot establish either status.

An empty equipment list is not evidence that a car has no options. We will not sell a report when the necessary source is unsupported. The current full report is a labeled demonstration.
